Thus begins the two weeks of hype, reports, tweets, facebook postings, smoke signals, etc. of everything building up to SuperBowl 45. It's going to be a helluva game.
Sharing a Common Disaster

Hello World
It's a Saturday night and I'm doing something I thought I wouldn't do: create a blog. I probably won't be typing much on it but well, that could change. I said the same thing when I joined Twitter.
4,798 (as of right now) tweets later....
I am, if anything, not that great of a liar. So anyway, here it is: my introductory post.
It's the night before the NFC Championship game between Green Bay and Chicago and I'm really hoping for a Packers win. I remember the magic of 1996 and the sweet victory of that 35-21 win over the Patriots. What was even better was the victory parade in the streets of Green Bay, with all the snow and subzero temperatures but the people that turned out to see their beloved Packers hoist the Lombardi trophy in the very house that Vince built. Well, maybe not built, but shaped in the 1960s.
I tend to block out the loss to Denver the following year as I think most Wisconsinites do. Green Bay is on the cusp of playing in SB XLV up against their historic rival: Da Bears.
I have nothing against Chicago, it's an awesome city but I just want my team to be victorious. Is that too much to ask? I think not.
One last thing: the title of this blog is from a Cowboy Junkies song: A Common Disaster which also happens to be my Twitter. (hint) I *do* have a Facebook account, I rarely use it unless I'm posting a song from Blip.fm
Peace, Love and Wasabi.
